I believe I mentioned this before but what my combination skin often suffers from is lack of moisture, especially in winter. I’ve been using some products from Dior’s Hydra Life collection which specifically targets skin hydration on and off since last spring and wanted to share my experience with them since they are the first Dior skincare products I’ve ever tried!
Dior Hydra Life 2 in 1 Balancing Hydration Sorbet Water ($52 CAD)
Although, I have quite a lot of hair, I noticed it was shedding a lot more than usual for some time now. I do have a little bit of a dandruff problem, my scalp has been quite dry, especially due to our harsh climate so I’ve been trying a lot of different shampoos to try and fix this issue. Over the past couple of months, I’ve been testing out the SureThik 3-Step System which consists of a root penetrating sulfate free cleanser, parabens free nutrient infusion conditioner and ScalpTx+ treatment containing natural ingredients.
The SureThik 3-Step System promises fuller, thicker hair and healthier scalp as well as promotes regrowth for thinning hair. The treatment can also be used as a preventative treatment so it can be used on regular hair as well.
Last year, I discovered the brand ESQIDO, and then got the opportunity to try their false lashes which were amazing, so I was super excited when they reached out to me to try their new gel pencil eyeliners! The new Esqido Gel Eyeliner pencils are available in 2 neutral colours, brown and black. They retail for $16 USD but are currently on sale for $12 USD. Esqido claims these are the new “holy grail” eyeliners but does it live up to this claim?
While I don’t have a lot of acne, I have noticed that lately I do tend to have clogged pores and rough dry skin patches that only an exfoliator could get rid of. To help with those issues I’ve been trying out the Silk’n Revit Microdermabrasion device which I got from an event a few months ago. This device is designed for at home usage and uses the power of suction as well a diamond tip to remove dirt and dead skin cells while exfoliating the skin. In addition, it is meant to tighten skin and reduce the appearance of scars and fine lines.

New month, new brows? Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying out a new and completely different eyebrow product from what I usually use! I usually fill out my brows with a pencil so I was super excited to give SureThik’s thickening eyebrow fibers (CAD$ 29.99) a go.
A little bit about SureThik, they are a Canadian brand and all their products are formulated and made in Canada!
One of my very first high end lip products was Dior’s Lip Glow (CAD $41). I was only in middle school and I remember begging my mom to buy it for Christmas since it was “so cool mom, it is a colour changing lip balm!” Back then I didn’t realize that it wasn’t just a colour changing lip balm. Dior’s Lip Glow reacts to one’s lip to enhance the natural colour in addition to giving it a gorgeous tint. And I surely didn’t know that in the future I would carry a lip glow with me in my bag almost all the time. So one can imagine my excitement in trying Dior’s new selection of lip glows released as part of their Glow Addict collection!
A couple of months ago, Givenchy Beauty launched their foundations on the Canadian market. Now that my skin is less of a dry mess (Stress + harsh cold weather this year were not a good mix for my skin, my skin felt so rough and any face makeup, even my go to blush, would appear blotchy and flaky) I’ve finally been able to put the Photo’Perfexion line to the test over the last couple of weeks. This foundation promises a natural flawless complexion with a radiant finish!
Packaged in a glass bottle with the G for Givenchy inscribed in pretty gold glitter on the cap, the Givenchy Photo’Perfexion Fluid Foundation (CAD$62) is equipped with a pump which makes for easy application. It is also small enough to be travel friendly!
New month new watch? If this sounds like you, you’re going to love the Monthly Watch Club Canada. For only CAD $39.99 per month, you’ll receive an amazing handmade watch every month. Perfect for any watch lover or collector!

Love me some coconut! As a girl with roots to an island, coconut has always been a part of my life. As a child, my grandma and aunts would put coconut oil in my hair, we cook with it and drink the water, etc. One of my all time favourite shampoo and body lotion was coconut scented and I longed to find something that had that same sweet refreshing scent until I discovered Palmer’s products.
From smooth creamy body butter to lotions and oils, Palmer’s has a range of affordable coconut-based products made from ethically and sustainably sourced Coconut oil and Tahitian Monoï oil. In addition, each product also contains sweet almond oil and vitamin E to leave looking and feeling radiant. Palmer’s products are also free of any harsh chemicals which is great for people who like more natural based products.
I have been testing three of their products, the Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil (CAD $5.99) , Body Lotion (CAD $5.99) and Body Cream (CAD $7.99).
