Midterms are over, and spring is finally here! I can almost feel the warmth of the summer despite the onslaught of snow we’re currently getting. It can’t get anymore exciting now, can it? Well, it can! I’m so excited to share an exclusive first look of Givenchy’s latest limited edition fragrance for Spring/Summer 2016, the new reformulated Gentlemen Only EDT Parisian Break.
This new fragrance is meant to represent the elegance and freshness of spring, it also represents “a sweet carefree escapade in the bustling City of Light along the river of Seine”. It’s a refreshing new Eau de Toilette described as the perfect embodiment for all the gentlemen out there. Beauty editor Dave Lackie describes it as “a gin and tonic” in a fragrance.
The bottle which mimics the shape of the previous Gentlemen Only EDTs received a gorgeous spring makeover. It now features a gorgeous sketch of the river Seine and I can even spy the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris on there as well. I found the design to be really cute and fitting considering what the fragrance represents.
The fragrance itself is aromatic with notes of lemon, Nepalese mint, and sage which when combined create the perfect refreshing scent. The fragrance also contains notes of Haitian vetiver mixed with ambroxan to add a sensual base to it.
I found that it lives up to its description. It has a very refreshing and light scent that you wouldn’t mind smelling all day. I think it is the perfect scent for Spring. I’m definitely loving it and despite it being a “gentleman” fragrance, I can see myself wearing it on a gorgeous spring day.
The new Parisian Break EDT will launch on April 27th and will be available exclusively at the Hudson’s Bay for CAD $96 (for the 100ml)!
Will you be picking a bottle up for yourself or the gentlemen in your life?
