Contouring and strobing are two of the biggest trends in the fashion world that are here to stay, at least for now. They help to define one’s best angles and to illuminate the face. Dior is embracing contouring and strobing for its fall 2016 Skyline collection through the release of the Diorblush Light and Contour stick ($48CAD).
They are available in three different shades, light, medium, and dark. What I like the most about these duos and differentiates them from other contour kits is how easy and convenient they are. With one end being the highlighter and the other the contour end, application is so easy. Just rub it directly on your face or use a brush then blend and tada!
Not to mention, the formula is creamy, rich and pigmented which makes it even easier to apply. It’s also small enough to carry around and so easy to use on the go.
I received the medium and dark sticks, and they have become an essential part in my makeup bag. I know I’m going to be using the darker shade a lot for the summer when I’m tanned, and I’m currently using the medium one as it is perfect for a subtle contour during the fall and winter. I do sometime blend them together for a more defined contour as well. It’s all about how it’s blended. As for the highlight shade, I can’t see much of a major difference, the medium stick is slightly more of a rose gold highlighter compared to the dark one being more of a champagne one.
Here are some swatches of these super cool products that I am honestly loving at the moment!
I’m all about convenience and these duos makes keeping up with makeup trends so much less intimidating. I’ve been loving my Dior Light and Contour sticks. Would you give these contouring and strobing trends a try with Dior?
