Halloween is in exactly 14 days and I’m actually super excited for it (though I have absolutely no clue what I will be doing for it as of right now). But I do love dressing up if I can, or even just through accessorizing or doing my makeup a little more spooky! It’s just such a fun holiday.
This year I know for a fact it will include nail art, courtesy of Nail Polish Canada who sent me these cute nail graveyard theme vinyls/stencils (each pack comes with 20 nail vinyls and retails for CAD $5.65).
Look how perfectly cute and spooky they are.
They are super easy to use, even for beginners (because frankly I suck at nail art, I really do, I only recently got the hang of shaping my nails myself). You can use it as a stencil or a vinyl! Totally up to you. You can be as creative as possible.
I used it as a vinyl and created this easy and quick bloody-esque and roughed up creation! Nail polishes used are Dior’s Skyline 848 and Formula X in Dainty.
Looks fun, no? They were nice enough to send me a coupon code for 10 FREE (including shipping and everything) stencils. So if you want to give it a try, claim yours below!
Get them here using this code: BVTRXG79C3QF8 (valid for the first 10 people and Canadian residents only!)
Seriously, there’s no catch! Go get your own spooky nail vinyls!

Fluttery butterfly wing like lashes are everyone’s (maybe almost everyone) dream. Personally, I love long lashes but they have to appear natural. So I was always hesitant to try false lashes until Esqido reached out to me.
Esqido eyelashes are made with super soft mink (that are cruelty free) which make them appear not only like natural lashes but make them practically weightless as well. They also are made with soft cotton strips for ultimate comfort and packaged in the cutest rosegold and white packaging.
For a beginner and a contact lenses wearer, false lashes seemed really challenging. I’m not going to lie, I had some trouble in the beginning. At first, I couldn’t even decide on a style, but then I found Esqido’s online lash guide which talks about different styles and different eye shapes and it made choosing my perfect pair (or pairs in this case) really easy.

Ombré, ombré hair, ombré nails, ombré jeans and now ombré lips! Givenchy is making ombré lips easier than ever with their new and innovative line of Le Rouge Sculpt Two-toned lipsticks (CAD$45). Givenchy’s new line of two-toned lipsticks features 5 stylish shades in different colour combinations, with the darker colour enriched with the Noire Revelateur formula.
What does it do? With it’s light core and darker edge, the Rouge sculpt is meant to contour, contrast as well as add volume in addition to giving an ombre effect to one’s pout. The lighter shade highlights the center point of the lips where the darker shades gives definition to one’s lips.
The last time I tried a Kenzo Fragrance was probably sometime in the early 2000’s. My aunt had an array of them and I’d steal a spritz at times. I remember this fact clearly because Kenzo’s fragrance bottles were always a sight to behold with their often peculiar designs. The latest fragrance, Kenzo World Eau de Parfum ($105 for 50 ml) stays true to that philosophy.
For the longest time, the only makeup I would wear would be mascara. I had (still have 🙈) an obssession with long lashes and would sought out the best mascaras out there. So here comes Givenchy with their newest and one of the most innovative mascara I’ve ever tried, the new Noir Interdit (CAD $38).
Packaged in a sleek black rectangular tube with a silver and black mesh ribbon design inspired by runway trends, the packaging screams luxurious and chic.
But what makes the Noir Interdit special is its mascara wand which bends up to 90° so that every single lash can be reached and coated for a false lash effect. It’s a really cool concept and I was very happy that it does in fact make reaching for every lash so much easier. Super easy to snap and bend in order to use, it is a must have for any makeup lover!
With all the rage about “baking”, setting and loose powders have become an important product in our beauty routine. I wanted to find one that suits my needs and didn’t make my skin dry. So when I wanted to find the one and was given the chance to compare Givenchy’s luxurious powders, I was so down.
Givenchy has three different type of setting/”loose” powders: Givenchy Poudre Première (CAD $66), Givenchy Prisme Libre (CAD$66) and the latest addition to their line, the Givenchy Prisme Libre Travel (CAD $48).
Flickable, also known as the world’s cutest lip glosses. Packaged like a lollipop with a doe foot applicator, these lip glosses are candy/fruity scented, vegan, non sticky and super shiny! Fans of lip glosses will never go back to regular glosses.
Flickable comes in 5 versatile shades and each shade has a signature scent. The shades include:
Silky, smooth, straight hair…at one point I could describe my natural hair as such but not anymore. As mentioned previously on my Conair Ionic Brush review, my natural [air dry] hair is wavy/slightly curly and fairly thick so I often have to use a flat iron to even out the waves, straighten or give it more curls.
So when I received the ISA Professional Digital Mirror Titanium Flat Iron, I was quite psyched to try it as my old flat iron wasn’t doing much for my hair anymore.
The ISA Professional Digital Mirror Titanium Flat Iron is super easy to use and made with titanium technology to ensure smooth shiny silky hair without causing any damage. It can heat up to different temperatures and there’s a convenient little screen to see it on the front. It also has a sleek and thin design which makes curling with it a breeze as well.
Straightening brushes have been all the hype this year. I’ve seen a bunch of them all over Instagram and to be honest I was pretty skeptical about the whole thing as I have fairly thick wavy hair and these new “gadgets” don’t usually work for me. But even then I wanted to try one because they seem really convenient especially for people like me with lots of hair. So when I got the chance to try the Conair Hot Ionic Straightening Brush, I was pretty excited as it sounds like such a cool and innovative product!
A little about the brush itself. The Conair Ionic Straightening Brush, a heated ceramic paddle brush with ceramic & rubber bristles, claims to straighten hair while leaving it frizz free due to “its diamond infused ceramic combined with ionic technology”.
The brush has three different heat settings, with the highest one heating up to 204°C. It also has a 30 second instant heat feature and a safety feature that automatically shuts it off after 60 minutes of inactivity (though it is mentioned that it should not be left unmanned and plugged in at any time). It can be purchased on conaircanada.ca or any official Conair retailers for (CAD $69.97-$89.99).
One of my must-haves is definitely my trusty lipstick. I almost always have one with me but for the past couple of weeks, I have been using another lip product instead, the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Long-Wear Colored Tint (CAD $36).
Available in 6 gorgeous bright colours, the Dior Addict Lip Tattoos have a smudge free, fast drying and long lasting formula which offers weightless coverage. They are meant to literally “tattoo” your lips with colour which is so cool!
I received three of the six lip tattoos in 451 Natural Coral, 881 Natural Pink and 491 Natural Rosewood. Continue reading
