Need something to refresh your skin in time for summer? Then you need Moor Spa. This new to me brand has got all the products you need for fresh gorgeous skin. Best of all, Moorspa products are composed of 100% naturally derived ingredients with one very special ingredient, Austrian Moor essence. According to the Moor Spa website, Austrian Moor is a nutrient rich herbal complex which helps to enhance one’s skin and appearance.
I was sent three products to put up to the test: the cleansing foam, herbal toner, and lip balm.
Moor Spa Cleansing Foam
I enjoy using foam cleansers because they feel so soft, and the Moor Spa cleanser is definitely soft and gentle. A half pump was more than enough to wash my face and my skin felt so nice and smooth afterwards. The foam cleanser also left behind a very refreshing feeling and it doesn’t have an overwhelming scent which I like. It worked quite well on removing makeup with the exception of warerproof mascara residue. Overall, I absolutely loved the foam cleanser. It did it job perfectly.
Moor Spa Herbal Toner
I’ve been using this product as a face mist rather than as a normal toner and it works wonderfully for when my skin needs a refreshing spritz/my pores are out of control. I’m not too particularly fond of the “herbal” scent, to me it smells a little too much like tea but I believe that’s because of the Moor nutrient. Other than that, it does tighten and make my skin look refreshed and awake!
Moor Spa Lip Balm
Minty and fresh. I’ve been using this a lot ever since I received it and it has been wonderful. My lips stayed hydrated all day while wearing it. It reminds me a lot of Burts bees but with a plumping effect because the mint does make my lips tingle and I think makes them appear very slightly bigger.
Will you be trying Moor Spa?

One of my earliest beauty memories was me tippy toeing over the dresser in my aunt’s room to steal and play with her array of fragrances. There was one fragrance in particular that I remember the most because it eventually became my holy grail fragrance, Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Ever since, I have tried all the Poisons, and Hypnotic remained the ultimate winner. Though, Dior’s latest addition to this amazing fragrance collection, Poison Girl (CAD $72 for the 30ml) looks to contest that position.
I was recently contacted by the Rosedon group hailing from the UK to try one of their products, I was super excited because their Cougar Beauty brand carries a ton of affordable makeup. Since I’m loving liquid lipsticks at the moment, I jumped at the chance to try one of theirs. They offer 5 bold shades in their 24HR liquid lipstick line which claims to be fast drying, non-smudging while offering full coverage and hydration. The shade I chose is called Mulberry (£6.99/ approx. CAD$12.37). It’s a nice neutral pink-mauve shade.
It comes packaged in a black and transparent standard tube with a doe foot applicator (mine was slightly bent but no biggy it still did the job perfectly!). Nothing super fancy but considering its affordable price it’s to be expected.Continue reading →
Givenchy’s Live Irrésistible is back for Spring 2017 but even more gourmand than before with its brand new Eau de Parfum Délicieuse (CAD $125 for 75ml). I love the original and the EDT but this new fragrance is much more addicting than its predecessors. It is so sweet and gourmand that it makes my sweet tooth crave for a sweet snack.
Containing sweet top notes including cherries and french madeleines accord (aka one of my favourite french pastries); followed by notes of essential rose, orange blossom, bitter almonds, vanilla beans, tonka beans and orris root, it has the perfect mix of delectable with a slightly spicy kick to it.
It is packaged in the signature glass Live Irrésistible bottle but this time with a twist. The bottom is tinted pink to really embrace and showcase the sweet feminine scent that it contains.
I found that it is not a scent for the faint heart as it does come off as strong before mellowing out. While it is sweet, it is not overly sugary nor does it feel overwhelmingly fruity. It is a nice blend of sweet, fruity and floral. To be noted, it does smell stronger and feel more concentrated that the other versions, and as such I found that it lasts longer on the skin.
Givenchy’s Live Irrésistible Eau de Parfum Délicieuse is now available at Sephora.ca and the Bay.

Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Rose Oil (CAD $24.99)
This multipurpose oil with the argan is a must for any beauty lover. It is so versatile, one pump is more than enough to give some shine and a refresher to my dry hair or to mix my foundation for a flawless application.
Acure Organics Quick Fix Correcting Balm with Argan Oil + Starflower (CAD $18.99 for 256 ml)
Dior’s Backstage Pros collection has been a cult favourite in the beauty world, especially their Lip Glow (CAD $41). I myself have one on me at all times. It truly revolutionized the lip balm as we know it and had immense success which is why Dior has been releasing it in different shades.Back in fall 2016, Dior released it in a pretty lilac shade and for Spring 2017, the newest shade to join the lip glow family is a rich berry shade.
For those who aren’t aware of what makes Dior’s lip glow different from other lip balms; well lip glow works with the pH of your lips and adapts the colour accordingly. Thus, every person’s lips will not only be moisturized but also have a subtle natural colour that is unique to them. I personally think they are the best lipbalm ever. I love the subtle colour it provides and the fact that it has a fresh mint and rose scent. Continue reading →
Givenchy has recently relaunched their Rouge Interdit lipsticks with a new packaging and formulation as well and it is one word: fantastic. I received their it shade, 13 Rouge Interdit. A gorgeous and bright true red that’s universally flattering.
Dior’s new spring collection for 2017, “Color Gradiation” has the perfect combination of bright, vivid and bold colours to achieve the fresh faced and dewy look that are ruling the runways.
As part of the collection, Dior has released a new selection of their Diorskin Nude Air Luminizers which was previously released as part of the fall collection. I was lucky to receive two of the three new shades, 003 and 004.
Anastasia Beverly Hills founder, Norvina took the world by a storm when she released her makeup collection. She built an army of fans with her famous glow kits, liquid lipsticks, and brow products.
To be honest, I was skeptical at first because it was a brand that came out of nowhere, it didn’t have a long legacy in the beauty industry like Dior or Chanel and I’m not one to buy something based on all the hype (i.e Kylie’s LipKits has yet to be a purchase of mine despite it’s immense popularity the past year). And to add to that I’m biased towards french beauty brands so it took a bit of convincing to get myself to finally take the plunge and get something from ABH.
